Doug Goodyear resigned as convention coordinator and issued a two sentence statement:
"Today I offered the convention my resignation so as not to become a distraction in this campaign. I continue to strongly support John McCain for president, and wish him the best of luck in this campaign."
What's the big deal here?
John McCain hand-picked Goodyear to run this year's Republican Convention. It came out today that Goodyear had been lobbying the last two years FOR Myanmar's junta.
Remember those guys? They're the ones who raped and pillaged the country that, as I said in my last post, confiscated the emergency supplies sent there in the aftermath of the cyclone. Yeah, the cyclone that has affected 1.5 million people.
This is the kind of judgement we can expect from John McCain...
